About your insurance
What the insurance can help you with
The insurance can provide compensation if any of the following occurs: involuntary unemployment, temporary incapacity for work (illness or accident), hospitalisation, care of a close relative or death.
How the compensation works
If you are entitled to compensation, the insurance can:
- Pay your monthly instalment on your loan or credit
- Make payments directly to the credit provider
- Provide compensation for up to 1 year
Compensation in the event of death is paid to:
- Repay the remaining debt (up to the maximum amount)
The exact compensation depends on your outstanding balance on the date of death and what is stated in the insurance terms and conditions.
When does the insurance apply?
The insurance comes into force when you are enrolled, and:
- You may have complimentary cover for an initial period
- The insurance is valid on a monthly basis and is continuously renewed
- It is valid in Sweden and during temporary stays abroad
Terms and commencement time may vary depending on how you took out the insurance.
Who can take out the insurance?
To be covered you must, among other things, have a credit agreement linked to the insurance, be resident in Sweden and meet certain employment and health requirements.
Full requirements are set out in the insurance terms and conditions.
Important to know
- The insurance applies to unforeseen events
- There are waiting periods and qualifying periods before compensation can be paid
- Compensation is not paid in all situations
We always assess each case based on the terms and conditions.
This is not always included
The insurance normally does not provide compensation for:
- Events that arose before the insurance came into force
- Self-inflicted injuries or certain medical conditions
- Situations that do not meet the conditions regarding employment or qualifying period
