Zurich appoints Mattias Fritz as CEO Zurich Nordic

Zurich has appointed Mattias Fritz, currently Nordic Chief Underwriting Officer, to the role of CEO Zurich Nordic, effective November 1, 2023. With a strong focus on supporting customers and brokers to navigate the evolving risk landscape, Zurich aims to drive further growth in the region.
In his new role, Mr. Fritz will be leading about 200 colleagues in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden and ensuring alignment with the Group’s global strategy. He succeeds Dirk De Nil who has taken on the role of Global Head of Zurich Resilience Solutions. Mr. Fritz will be based in Stockholm and will report to Sierra Signorelli, CEO Commercial Insurance.

Mr. Fritz added. “I am excited to further enhance our operations in the Nordics. We will continue our commitment to helping customers manage their risk exposures with top-notch protection, prevention and mitigation services as well as actionable insights.”
Mr. Fritz has over 17 years of industry experience with large, multinational insurance companies. He joined Zurich in 2021 as Nordic Chief Underwriting Officer.
For nearly 150 years, Zurich has operated in the Nordic market where the Group offers insurance and risk mitigation solutions to large corporate and middle market customers, providing local and global expertise.
